The Clippers U15G team, coached by Babak Sani and John Murray, took second place at the Pacifica United Coast Cup Soccer tournament on August 27-28.  The tournament was the team’s first games playing together this fall after only three weeks of practice.

The team, which won the U14G Gold Division in the fall of 2010, won its first three games without giving up an opposing goal by scores of 3-0, 1-0 and 1-0 before falling in the championship game to the tournament champions and host team, the Pacifica Strikers.  The Strikers had practiced all summer and had played in several previous tournaments.

The team members are: Monica Branch, Elise Buser, Amanda Drexler, Ruby Gizzi, Marissa Glick, Emma Greenberg-Bell, Tess Karls, Maddie Murray, Jenna Nuti, Emma Omega, Sierra Robbins, Sahar Sani, Bella Scharff, BinBin Sullivan, Sophie Taylor, and Hawa Zabel.

The team looks forward to another fun fall season after its very successful start.
