Responsibilities

  • Promote and foster an environment of collaboration among club members.  Acts at all times for the good of the club and its member to assure both short and long term success.

Age Group Coordinator (some variations exist for U6, U8 and U19 groups)

Responsibilities

  • Compile Excel file of all registered players from Spring registration, making sure you have email addresses for the players.
  • From coaches, determine which players were previously on their teams.
  • Review parent requests on registration forms & accommodate if possible. 
  • Review preliminary rosters with coaches before the Spring Draft for Fall teams.
  • Conduct the Spring Draft; usually in early June before school is out.  Usually the Age Group Coordinator will invite the Registrar, President, or Vice President of the club to assure a smooth & proper draft according the club bylaws.
  • Have coaches notify parents/kids of their team placement after the draft. 
  • Resolve team placement problems as needed.
  • Distribute the Final Fall Roster to coaches & the registrar.  Process changes & late additions over the summer.  Keep in touch with the Registrar re: kids on the waiting list.
  • Be prepared to work with coaches & the Registrar to find a new coach; may also need to combine teams due to a shortage of players.
  • Usual roster sizes: U8- 11; U10- 12/13; U12- 15; U14- 15/16; U16- 16/17; U19- 17/18
  • Spring Soccer requires Coordinators to poll coaches who are returning.  They must poll their players to see who is returning.  Kids may change teams for Spring.  Also, teams must be combined, due to fewer coaches & players.
